Audrey has worked in healthcare communications for over 20 years in Australia, the UK and Ireland. From1989 to 1997 she worked in a variety of NHS organisations facing different and stimulating communications challenges including the development of patient focused communications strategies and the development of guidelines for patient information.
In 1997 Audrey was the first in-house Communications Manager appointed in the Irish Health system when she took up her role as Communications Manager for the South Eastern Health Board. During her carer she has managed regional media relations; marketing and advertising campaigns; reputation management; crisis management and strategic communications.
Since the establishment of the HSE Audrey has been working as Communications Manager for Special Projects including developing and implementing communications standards for the HSE: co-ordinating multiple public campaigns; developing a media training programme and developing strategies to enhance communications within the HSE.
